Last Saturday Josh & Britt invited us to go fishing up American Fork Canyon, to their special lakes. It was a bit rainy so we didn't end up going on the hike up to the lakes high in the mountains but there was this beautiful lake right by the parking lot.


Right out of the gate, Josh pulls out a fish. It was on after that. Cody was determined to get one and of course he did. Here is evidence and me just dying to see.

Minutes into the fishing trip it began to rain hard and we all ran for cover. I had to try out the different settings on my new camera (I broke my camera in the summer, my reason for not posting). Here is a picture of Josh and Britt waiting out the storm.
Britt and I didn't do much fishing only capturing shots of the ducks. Cody wanted me to take pictures because he wants to try his hand at "stuffing" waterfowl and animals. The more examples of them in the wild the better I guess.
It was a beautiful day and we were so glad to enjoy the great outdoors with great friends.

The quote of the day is when Cody says, "I just love the fall, from College Football to the leaves changing." We just have to laugh because we all know why he really loves fall and it has nothing to do with football nor leaves.
