While dad was out on the bow hunt opener, Maddie and I headed for the hills as well.
Well...our kind of the hills...Pops and Nanny's Cabin.
We experience our first fire made by Ethan and Pops that was dwindling by the time we made it out.

Got to spend some valuable to time with Auntie Lexis and Cousin Ethan.

Caught up on some needed sleep while the rain came down.

When the rain/snow stopped we were able to go out on a nature hike with the fellow party animals.

Although we first had to figure out the baby bjorn since dad had packed Maddie around all of the other times it was used and we got to use my Grandma Ruthie's jacket to cover Maddie and I from the wind.

Cody was able to join us and even get in a little fishing.

Maddie and I wanted to prove we were there too.

We made it through two nights with out everyone wanting to send us back home for keeping them up.
That Maddie is one great baby.

Thanks for finding me Alli! Maddie is adorable and I'm so happy for you and Cody. It was great catching up with you at Rick's wedding and now I can see what you're up to more often through your blog. Congrats again!
She obviously likes the mountains, looks like Cody needs to take her with him next time. She's probably got some good bow hunting skills, naturally.
please don't teach her how to shoot the bow and arrow, i want spencer to keep his cadaver knees for as long as he can!
Thanks for inviting us to Maddie's blessing. She is adorable (of course) and you look great. Your house is so cute and I love love Maddie's room.
Alli your little Maddie is so darling! I hope everything is going well.
Darling little family! Keep making those memories and taking all the pictures, they grow up so fast! Enjoy every moment! xoxo
The picture of you looking down your sweatshirt at her reminds me so much of mom. Hopefully we'll all be the kind of mom that she is!
