On Maddie's birthday eve we had a little pizza party with some of our friends and family. We are so glad to have so many people who love our little Maddie and could celebrate her life with us.
Maddie made off with some great stuff. I was impressed that she actually wanted to play with ever toy and was not having it when I pulled her away to get a picture with the dress her Grammie made her.
I think I should have stayed with a cake or cupcakes because the sugar cookies didn't quite give the full effect the frosting provides but Maddie loved them so it worked. We even were able to connect to my sister Em and brother Jon in North Carolina via Skype for the singing. There wasn't much candle blowing for Maddie was too interested in holding the the Big 1 candle.
I have never been one to provide much entertainment because my family pretty much entertains themselves but I happened to have some sparklers that sparked some interest.
