Bocas del Toro

Some of the big and small islands of Bocas del Toro from the plane.
Bocas is a beautiful place and the best "vacationing" part of our trip. We spent two days traveling around the islands below with much fun to be had on both trips.

So, for $20 we were able to go to Dolphin Bay to see the dolphins jumping out of the water. Then we stopped at this little hut to place our lunch order of Paticones (kindof like fried bananas that you eat like french fries) and headed out snorkeling. This was our first time and was really amazing. Cody liked it until he got a mouth full of salt water. There were some really beautiful fish and coral.

Snorkeling was really fun until we got out of the water and noticed the baracoda below lurking in the water we were just in.

We went back and ate our paticones and then we were off to Red Frog Beach. This little one is my favorite person and story of all my trip. To get to Red Frog Beach you have to take this little hike through the beautiful jungle below. On that hike I ran into this kid. He had the famous super poisonous and endangered Golden Frog in his hand. I needed a picture so I got my camera and snapped this shot without even thinking that I didn't have any money on me. So naturally he asked me money, I told him I didn't have any so they he said camera? Clever little Panamanian.

This is Cody and I on that little walk through the jungle.

and finally to Red Frog Beach (we had to take pictures far away from all of the other people because most of the girls were topless).
Day Two on the island Zapatillas, know for crystal blue water and white sand beaches. I wish I would have taken a photo of Cody with his friend from Germany after Cody helped him open his coconut with a machete.

Our dear friends from Isreal! I am so glad Cody took this picture because we have so many fun memories with these two. They taught us much of thier culture and how to roll a joint (that is another story in itself). They could not believe that Cody nor I had never even tasted alcohol before. They invited us the the Aqua Lounge below anyway that night just to hang out. We enjoyed our day on the beach and I consider them dear friends.

The famous Aqua Loung with the Trampoline like the one we take to Lake Powell.
Cody sadly packing up from our beautiful, cool, clean condo on Bocas to head to Panama City.
