Maddie and I thought we deserved some fun in the sun since Cody is in Lake Powell with friends. She got all dressed up and popped her leg for the pictureThe whole drive I was just dying to see this cutest little bug in a swimsuit for the first time. It was even better then I imagined!Maddie thinks I am ok but she LOVES her cousin Ethan. He can make her laugh and holler at any given moment. We were trying to get a good picture of Maddie and I and we had to call Ethan over to make her happy. I love thier friendship. I always wanted to have a close cousin and so I am going to do my best to let Maddie be close to hers. Who doesn't love a terrycloth coverup? Maddie sure does until you try to put the hood on. Olivia went straight for the romper rather then the cover up and it was a good thing she did because then she was able to let Emily wear her cute suit. Olivia has Maddie's heart even though the picture doesn't look that way.We think it is the best time of the year when Emily and Jon are in town. It is non stop fun from the time the plane lands. This year has been non stop Fife World Cup. Usually Jon and Em go home with sleep deprivation, this year Jon is going home with bed sores.

We took a little (well long) road trip with my parents in thier new 5th wheel trailer up with the Wright's to thier families fishing hole in a river that comes out of Ennis Lake in Ennis, MT

Here is the view down river with a neat little cabin that you can only get to crossing a bridge

Naturally, Cody was the first to catch a fish although I wasn't there to catch the moment here was one of his catches
I love that Cody and my dad get along so well. My dad was stoked to have training from "the great white hunter" as my family calls Cody. This is my dad's second catch, first of this trip. His first catch was with Cody in Lake Powell. Eating fish isn't my favorite but we did have a little fish fry when we returned back to camp

Do you get cuter that that?We went up through Idaho and came home through Yellowstone. It was a beautiful but long drive. Luckily Maddie loves to read. I myself am not that into it, too boring. We were lucky to have brought a number of books, including her favorite after her auntie Olivia. She is great at flipping the pages and laughs at some of the pictures. This is a great age. She is delightful!

memorial weekend

Since Cody had to work on Memorial Day we made the trip up to the cabin for the weekend. Cody and Drake were in heaven, Cody kept telling my dad he is ready to retire there. Drake met a few new friends and didn't stopping running the whole weekend, Cody, Little Josh and my dad dropped trees and Maddie, my mom and I burned them up as fast as we could. Sadly I didn't get any pictures of our Sunday activities of archery. That Josh sure took to archery just like he took to motorcycles and piano, unlike me.Maddie didn't want her winter outfit on the second we walked into the warm cabin.

Maddie loves this walker that her cousin Bridger let her borrow. We found when the clothes come off, the need for the seat goes away. Maddie now just pulls herself up to the top with determination. We just love her personalized onesies Aunt Britt made for her at our baby shower.
