Colbie Caillat

One of Cody's favorite contractors (who he coaches baseball with in the spring) invited us to see Colbie Caillat at Red Butte Garden. Luckily the rain storm stopped and the show went on. We had a wonderful time especially Maddie her first live event. I couldn't get a decent picture she was dancing and running the whole evening.

Saved the Day

I found out the Davis County Fair had free pony rides so I talked Cody, Olivia and Spencer to join me. Luckily I did because we got there and the pony ride was on their final ride. Somehow Aunt Wussy stepped right up and got Maddie a ride. She was scared to go at first but was a natural once she was in the saddle and laughed the whole time!

Thanks Wussy for saving the day!

We were able to meet Tay and Meg and get some fair food and ice cream. Maddie tried the giant slide, luckily some nice little girl helped her down.

A little about Maddie at three...I had to talk her into wearing pants so she could ride the pony. She tells me girls don't wear jeans and that she only likes skirts. She wears her princess dresses that Paige let her borrow anytime we are home or her dance outfit. Last night she came out wearing a light pink shirt, her hot pink tutu, pink and purple heart ankle socks and her pink sequined princess shoes and said "look mom I match." All the neighbors loved her outfit at our walk about!

Silver Lake

We took Maddie on a Sunday walk to Silver Lake when she was just a few weeks old. We thought we would escape the valley heat and take her again at three and a few weeks old. We saw two moose, this little duck family and some tad poles in the lake.

I thought the caption should be "always looking up to you dad."

Never Too Old

Yes Maddie is still in a crib and yes Cody still jumps in while I am getting her tooth brush ready. Everyone needs a fun dad!

Right after I took this picture Maddie settled in as if they were going to have a sleepover in her crib.
