Don't worry comments come directly to my email so your email wont be available for others to get. We will be securing this place before September so get your email to me soon!

hole in one

We took Maddie mini golfing for her first time for family night. This was the only hole in one of the night and Cody was the one who hit the ball. We always have a ball with Olivia and her friends.

another day at the lake

we grabbed our fishing poles, licenses, packnplay, food and headed east for a little rest and relaxation. it turned out a bit chillier then expected but luckily we brought sweaters. maddie is a good sport about just hanging out and entertaining herself in the great outdoors.
this day she made took her toys to a whole new level of entertainment
and then she had to try out just one foot. she is so adorable and so fun!
ryan finally showed old cody up now that we were in his secret fishing hole. they may not have been big but he sure caught alot.

Big Fish

Cody and I wanted to go on a little date up fishing so I could use my new fishing pole. We were able to talk Taylor, Ryan and Emily in to join us. We ended up near Eric's place so he joined us for a bit before dinner. I missed Ryan's first catch of the night, a giant carp but was sure to capture Taylor's big catch.Cody was struggling there a bit on the shore. He was caught in the trees more then in the water. We were all having a good laugh at his expense when he comes running down the river hooting and hallering. He was so excited with this big catch. He said it is the biggest Brown he has ever pulled out of the water. I always have to get in on the picture action.A bit later Cody pulled out another big fish almost equal in size. By the lack of light in the photo we knew it was time to go.
We came home and met up with Megan and Matt and fried Cody's first catch up. Maddie had her second sleepover with her cousins that night so we were able to hang out with our friends. We sure love summer time and getting out to breathe some fresh air.

donut falls

On Sunday afternoons we love to get out after church. Taylor and Megan also have the early schedule so we are lucky enough to drag them out with us. I remembered going to Donut Falls some time ago and wanted to go back so we packed up and made the short hike. When we arrived it wasn't anything I remembered. It was still beautiful so that was nice. We sure love our friends and love how much they love Maddie. Taylor was so nice to pack Maddie around for us to give Cody's back a break.

Two Front Teeth

I love to get out of the house so even if it is to join Cody at work we often follow him where ever he goes on Saturdays. Maddie and I had a good time until the rain started to fall. Maddie wasn't too happy to be stuck in the work truck while Cody finished up. Luckily the rain let up and we were able to walk to some horses which Maddie loved. I was glad to have caught these pictures to show her two front teeth coming in.
Soon she will have no problem finishing her chicken legs with her dad.

Jordanelle

Nick and Jess invited Liz and I and our families to Jordanelle for a little fun on the boat. Jess taught the kids hand signals for being pulled behind the boat. Liz and Paige were ready to go faster but Ethan wasn't so sure. All he knew is he wanted to go when Maddie went too.
and that is just what we did. I am pretty nervous and wasn't sure if this was a good idea but I took the chance and everything was perfect. Ethan had fun, Maddie relaxed and I got a good laugh. Bridger isn't too fond of the tube but he joined he dad for a little fun on the water. I heard Grandpa Joe is going to reward him for his good actions.
I didn't catch Jess on the ski nor Nick and Cody on the wakeboard but they all were entertaining and survived the rough water. We sure missed Jeff but I think Liz and the kids had a great time.
and our little family had a perfect night together with our siblings and Maddies cousins.

Thanks Nick and Jess (and Joe and Nancy for the nice boat) for inviting us to come!

timmy

We love to go to concerts with Cody's brother Ben. He is better then the performer. We have seen Tim McGraw a few times with Ben now but I think this time was my favorite (maybe because he didn't bring Faith who I think is boring sorry fans).
We had a neighbor from my parents neighborhood in front of us and a neighbor from Cody's neighborhood behind us. So we were not only joined by Eric, Correy, Josh and Ben but surrounded by fellow Tim fans. I was glad to have caught the true cowboy in front of us in our picture.
I found this old picture from 2006 when we saw Tim and Faith at the ESA. I was glad we had better seats this time too and I like Usana way better. Thanks Ben for getting us out and about for a little entertainment.

birthdate

After the party Ethan stayed to have a sleepover and continue the party the next day. Maddie woke up 1 and was ready for a good time with her new foster grants from Josh and Britt and dress from Grammie.

All of her presents were strewn all over the living room and she played all day including with her new toy in the bath. I think Ethan really came to play my Nintendo. I was sad to have not gotten any pictures with my dear friend Joni and her baby Brigham who also came by to celebrate. My sisters and mom also stopped in to wish Maddie Happy Birthday on her actual Birthday. That night was Cody's cousins wedding so we went to dinner with Grammie and Uncle Ben and then stopped by the beautiful wedding. It was fun to see the extended family on Maddies birthday.

Food is what this one year old loves most.

We sure have loved being parents and love our new addition. Cody and I couldn't be happier and excited for the years to come.
Meg has Fridays off so we have planned to go to the zoo since she got her new schedule. Terrie was also available this Friday so we took Maddie to see the animals. Maddie was in love with the garaffes and couldn't control herself around them. It was a great three days of celebrating Madeleine!

birthday party

On Maddie's birthday eve we had a little pizza party with some of our friends and family. We are so glad to have so many people who love our little Maddie and could celebrate her life with us.Maddie made off with some great stuff. I was impressed that she actually wanted to play with ever toy and was not having it when I pulled her away to get a picture with the dress her Grammie made her. I think I should have stayed with a cake or cupcakes because the sugar cookies didn't quite give the full effect the frosting provides but Maddie loved them so it worked. We even were able to connect to my sister Em and brother Jon in North Carolina via Skype for the singing. There wasn't much candle blowing for Maddie was too interested in holding the the Big 1 candle.

I have never been one to provide much entertainment because my family pretty much entertains themselves but I happened to have some sparklers that sparked some interest.
Thank you to all that could come celebrate Maddie with us!
