Manti Temple
Cody and I were able to go to the Manti Temple with our friends John and Markell. I love the old temples. Cody and I think it would be neat one year to try and attend all of the temples in Utah. Anyone in for the challenge in 2011?
summiting her everest
We are getting closer to the weight requirement to be in a forward facing seat (since she is almost 14 months already) so we got her a seat after much effort to get the price I could stomach. I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing prior to trying to figure it out in the car when I found our little climber on her way up.

She was so proud of herself it was as if she was summiting everest. Hopefully she is like her dad who we call the "mountain goat" who can climb any mountain (as long as there is a reward awaiting him).
Yes this is how my house looks everyday...I think it is important for kids to play freely (that is just a good excuse for not keeping it very clean).
Balanced Diet
Ever since I stopped nursing I have been concerned that Maddie was getting enough fluids. She didn't love milk and still doesn't prefer it. When I got Maddie out of bed the other morning I was sure she was getting enough fluids.
She now loves to open every door (her size) in the house. She especially loves the door in our bathroom and then to continue onto my drawers with my makeup.
We still are eating up all of the veggies we can before the first freeze. Maddie loves her dads squash and zucchini. She loves to feed herself and we are working on the use of utensils.

We were able to go to the aquarium with Maddie's cousin Bridger, Bridger's cousin Lucy, Aunt Jess, Aunt Lexie, Aunt Olivia and Grammie. We had a great time with the sharks, sting ray and of course the penguins! Maddie wasn't so sure about the frog statue but Bridger sure was.
We have just loved the weather lately and have enjoyed our walks, bike rides and attempts at the park. Liz's kids just love the swings...Maddie not so much, just her walking legs and snacks.

these teeth
This too was taken at the doctors office but these teeth have a story of thier own. On Sunday we celebrated Lili's birthday. While we were all enjoying time together as a family, Maddie was getting way too much attention and was a bit overstimulated (well that is all I have to blame it on). After being taken off of the piano and a bit upset Maddie's best pal, Ethan, came over to cheer our little bug up. My dad was holding Maddie and Ethan was giving her a hug from standing in front of them. It appeared as if Maddie was giving Ethan a good tight hug and pressing her face to his. When Ethan got out of the hold he was holding his face where his best girl Maddie had taken a good bite to his cheek. We were all taken back by this. Maddie just recently has started to show her wild side but I never expected her to completely bite, especially her favorite person in the world E-man. Hopefully a night on the Nintendo calmed Ethan's broken heart and they will take this as a chance to grow closer as I am sure more broken hearts are to come as they grow up together.
